Red Head *sold
![]() |
| We all have our favorite flowers. Some pick favorites for color, scent, shape or the memories that go with them. I associate certain flowers with certain people. This painting is titled "Red Head," because I think of red heads as vibrant, outspoken, social butterflies. I have never know an introverted red head. To me, these flowers represent the lively red heads of the world. The flower is not one in particular. They are a made up combination of Indian Paintbrush with a bit of Lilly intertwined. Red Head is a 24" x 30" acrylic painting on stretched canvas. Available at Peculiar Painter - 405 Front St W. Walker, MN 56484 218-547-3729 $150.00 |

Dockside
![]() |
| Dockside is the second painting in a commissioned series. The first was "Minnesota Boys for the Summer." Each painting is 36" x 36" and based on carefree days fishing, swimming, boating and being kids at the lake in northern Minnesota. I took a little longer than usual with this painting because I wanted to get the details right. I hope anyone who had the joy of visiting the Sinclairs at their cabin on Leech Lake will smile when they see this scene. |

Mind the Sun *sold
![]() |
This piece went very quickly and was driven by an image I had of free flying birds in bright colors. The birds are not any type specifically but I was imagining the sailing swoop of the woodpecker. This piece is about color and vibrant life. I was combing abstract lines with a folkish loose style to add to the lightness of the piece.
"Mind the Sun" is a large 36" x 36" acrylic painting on stretched canvas.
