I wasn't kidding when I said I was in a red mood.  When in the mood to paint bold colors - a modern Scandinavian design is the way to go. The inspiration for this piece were wild irises I spotted hiding in a marsh - last year. I simplified their shape into almost origami feeling designs to give it a geometric and elongated whimsical feel.

Light-Footed *sold

I had some help naming this 8" x 24" painting. After completing it I asked "what does it make you feel?" The response was, "It makes me feel like a walk in the woods. I feel light footed like a good day out in the fall colors." And there we have the title "Light Footed". This piece is narrow with a big presence.

Bittersweet Vine *sold

It is Bittersweet season and I have a new batch of Bittersweet branches and vines for inspiration.  This is the latest in my series of Bittersweet paintings. This piece is a square 12" x 12" acrylic painting on canvas over 1.5" stretcher bars.
