 Yellow, blue and Red-Poles where my inspiration for this piece. I was ready for a large scale Modern Scandinavian Garden painting and imagined exaggerated Forsythia branches. The Red-Poles have been visiting our feeder and made for cheerful little models. I asked our local florist if she could get Forsythia in and she was happy to look into it! This piece kept getting brighter and brighter and it just might be my favorite Modern Scandinavian Garden piece.

 I wanted you to think of the quiet and calm the snow brings with this painting. The inspiration came while out walking near a neighborhood resort. I imagined the joy the colorful array of mailboxes brought to summer visitors as they visited their favorite place on the lake. I wanted those visitors to think of their cabin at the lake filled with quiet and the magic of the holidays.

December Delivery is a brushed acrylic ink painting on 187 lb. hot press paper. It is framed with conservation glass to a final size of 15.5”x18.5”  | 218-547-3729
