Stoic Neighbor •SOLD

A few months ago, I was on a mission to find a porcupine in a tree. I did not find a porcupine....but I did find this beautiful creature. I felt its eyes before spotting her/him. Every encounter with an owl feels spiritual. I don't know if its their eyes, the way they fly or just their presence...whatever it is - I am drawn to them.

Stoic Neighbor is a brushed acrylic ink painting on 140 lb. arches paper. This painting is professionally framed with conservation glass. Final framed size is 11.5"x8.25". Stoic Neighbor is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN.  | 218-547-3728

The Calm •SOLD

There is a frame shop in Wisconsin called Avenue Art. Since the first time I entered their doors it has been a favorite stop every time my family is in Appleton. I stock up on beautiful frames and enjoy visualizing what to paint to fit the frame. This rich blue frame asked me to paint a tree surrounded by complimentary sunset tones. ..so I did!

The Calm is a brushed acrylic ink painting on 140 lb. cold press arches paper. This piece is framed with conservation glass. Final framed size is 8.25"x6.25"

Afternoon Reflection *SOLD

You might notice a theme with my figurative watercolors. . .they often hold a ceramic mug. When holding a warm beverage everything just falls into place. We slow down to savor our drink and reflect on where we are. This women is cozy in her sweater, relaxed and enjoying a break in the sunshine.

I sketched Afternoon Reflection on the train while headed out west and finished it when ....I wasn't on a moving train. It is a small 5" square watercolor on 140 lb. watercolor paper. Final framed size is about 11" square | $179.00 | 218-547-3729
