Gavin NFS

My Nephew is the nicest and cutest boy. He is an avid outdoorsman, exceptional athlete and has great style and balance. Can you tell I am a proud auntie? My sister took a photo of Gavin fishing last summer. His stance and the summer light made for a perfect painting subject.

This piece will go to my nephew but I will have cards available at Peculiar Painter. The original is a 5"x7" brushed acrylic ink on 140 lb. cold press paper.

Paddle to Fish *SOLD

This little painting is meant to have a dramatic angle - looking down on the fishermen  - as not to intrude on his catch! This outdoorsmen needed some alone time and paddled out to a quite place on the lake in order to clear his mind and catch some fish. At least this is the story I had in mind while painting this scene.

I wanted to make this painting feel like a woodblock print with block colors - very illustrative in style. I used brush ink on 140 lb paper. The frame compliments the crisp lines of the canoe, fishing rod and water trails. Paddle to Fish is framed to a final size of 8"x10" and available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN for $135.00
