Stoic Neighbor •SOLD

A few months ago, I was on a mission to find a porcupine in a tree. I did not find a porcupine....but I did find this beautiful creature. I felt its eyes before spotting her/him. Every encounter with an owl feels spiritual. I don't know if its their eyes, the way they fly or just their presence...whatever it is - I am drawn to them.

Stoic Neighbor is a brushed acrylic ink painting on 140 lb. arches paper. This painting is professionally framed with conservation glass. Final framed size is 11.5"x8.25". Stoic Neighbor is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN.  | 218-547-3728

Flycatcher in the Willow •SOLD

The inspiration for this piece came from the colorful spring willow that grows near the shoreline. The yellows, reds and greens have a beautiful twist and turn that asked to be painted. We had an abundance of Kingbirds playing in and around the willow as well SO naturally the Flycatchers became my models.

This piece has a similar feel to my Modern Scandinavian Series but has a more organic feel, therefore it goes with the series but is not titled as so. Flycatcher in the Willow is a 36" acrylic painting on deep edge stretched canvas with painted edges. This piece is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN.  | 218-547-3729

Lake Memories • SOLD

Lake Memories was a commissioned piece. This request came from someone who has several of my prints. He wanted an original painting to memorialize his relationship with a loved cat that passed away. After receiving several photos of the scene I created this 8" painting on 140 lb. hot press arches paper. The final painting was well received and I was happy to create a reminder of happy days at the lake.
