In The Garden Series 1 *SOLD

 A new series is born and I'm excited to paint more - In the Garden - pieces. Watching gardeners work a patch of ground to raise food and flowers amazes me. The beauty of the environment and grace of a gardener is something I have always admired. My mother has had the green thumb as long as I can remember. Her happy place is her garden. I am going to attempt to capture her peaceful energy in one of these pieces. I want to make it just right so it might take me some time. the background in this piece is my Mother's garden with a wall of beans, sunflowers and tomatoes. 

In the Garden - series 1 is a brushed acrylic ink painting on 350 lb. mixed media paper. Painted area is 9"x8". This pieces is professionally framed and matted with conservation glass. Final framed piece measures 15"x16". This original is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN 

Unframed paper prints - size 7"x8" with a 2" white border making print size 11"x12" are available for $25. 8" prints on metal with hanging brackets are also available. The metal prints are cropped vertically to fit a square size. Metal prints are $42 | 218-547-3729

A Little Bit of Harmony *SOLD

This inspiration for this little painting came to me while visiting my In-Law's home in Wisconsin. They feed their birds and squirrels. The bright color of the cardinals dotting the tree-lines was striking. The squirrels are on the "well fed" side. I kept imagining a cardinal perching himself on a squirrel and the idea etched itself in my mind. After retuning home, a beautiful red fox appeared in our yard. Obviously the idea turned into a fox with a squirrel and cardinal! My husband says the title should be - I've got your back.
