Rooted in a Northern Town

Wooden docks and red bench seat boats have a special place in my heart. I imagine these items make connections with many people who grew up on the lakes "Up North."  There is a certain style that comes with being in the woods and on the lakes. Flannels, sensible boots, a hat and warm layers are in every home and cabin - they are a part of who we are.

Rooted in a Northern Town is a brushed acrylic ink painting on 140 lb. hot press Arches Paper. This piece is professionally framed with conservation glass. Final framed size is 10.25"x13.25". This piece is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN. for $315.00 | 218-547-3729

Cards and 6"x8" prints on steel are also available. The second photo down is the print on steel.

Summer Saturday Rituals *SOLD

This little piece started out as a watercolor. Something about the watercolor didn't feel right though so I turned it into an acrylic painting and I'm glad I did.  After turning to the acrylic - the focus became less on the background and more on the relaxed air around the women enjoying her coffee and view - which is what I was going for.

Summer Saturday Rituals is a 6"x6" acrylic painting on stretched canvas with painted edges. I donated this piece to the Leech Lake Art Leagues annual art sale.
