I can't take credit for the inspiration for this painting. A friend of mine approached me, about a year ago, to paint this scene - based on a photo she had taken of her daughter and dog. The photo had a beautiful stillness about it which I wasn't sure I could do justice.
It took 10 months for the vision to set in my mind and once it did the sketching process was smooth. It took several layers to get the depth I was looking for. I am happy to say the owner of this piece was please with the final painting. This was a brushed acrylic ink painting on 140 lb. hot press arches paper. Sold |
