Graceful Pods *SOLD

Painting milkweed pods is similar to painting bittersweet for me. It's twists and turns and graceful lines are enough to inspire many paintings and sketches. I keep a vessel of beautiful dried milkweed near my easel. The subtle markings and shadows always call me to create another painting.

Graceful Pods is a watercolor painting on 140 lb rough cold press arches paper. It is professionally framed and has conservation glass to protect it. Framed size is 9"x21". It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN for $215.00

Sassy Sunflower *SOLD

Sunflowers just have a certain sassiness about them - wouldn't you agree? The tall creatures of color begged to be painted.

Sassy Sunflowers is a watercolor painting on 140 lb watercolor paper. It is professionally framed and matted to a final size of 9"x15". It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN for $98.00 | 218-547-3729

Modern Scandinavian Fireweed Fields *SOLD

I was in the mood for a bit of color and nothing satisfies that like painting a piece for my Modern Scandinavian series. Fireweed started out as my main focus with this piece but I feel like the dandelions took over....like they tend to do.

Modern Scandinavian Fireweed Fields is a 30"x40" acrylic painting on stretched canvas with 1.5" thick stretcher bars and painted edges. It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN | 218-547-3729

Bay View Sunset *SOLD

Nothing says northern Minnesota like a paper birch overlooking the lake. I was inspired by an old soul birch which sits near town and over looks the bay. It's bark is peeling and branches wind in every direction.

This piece is layered and textured with brush strokes to give it depth. Cobalts play off of crimson, teal and yellows to keep your eye moving from bark to leaves to distant sunset.

Bay View Sunset is a 10" x 20" acrylic painting on stretched canvas with 1.5" thick stretcher bars and painted edges. It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN for $385.00

Bull Rush and Sunfish Passages *SOLD

Bull Rush and Sunfish Passages was a fun brush and palette knife painting. The sky and water are swimming in blues as the bull rush guides your eye upward. I hope you can feel the anticipation of the Canoer - as he looks for the perfect sunfish hole.

Bull Rush and Sunfish Passages is a 30"x30" acrylic painting on stretched canvas with 1.5" thick stretcher bars and painted edges. It will be available at the new Portage Brewery in Walker, MN as soon as they open - in late April | 763-498-4878 | $1,200.00

Nature's Spark *SOLD

The forest was alive with color and red was at it's core.

RED - Once-n-awhile I have to paint a red painting. This painting has 50+ variations of red in it. A painting with this much red can only hang in certain locations BUT when it finds the right fit - it can light up and finish a room. I photographed Nature's Spark in natural light and tungsten light to show the difference light makes on the feeling of this piece.

Nature's Spark is a 30"x40" acrylic painting on stretched canvas with 1.5" thick stretcher bars and painted edges. It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN for $1,200.00 | 218-547-3729

Brighter Days - Bittersweet *SOLD

Bittersweet is perhaps my favorite model. It twists and turns and has elegant spiral leaves. The berries are bold and sweet and any background will compliment the orange, yellow, red shells.

This little 8"x16" painting on stretched canvas can hang horizontal or vertical. It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN for $215.00 | 218-547-3729
