Anyone who has visited the Leech Lake area, in northern Minnesota, knows what I'm talking about when I say that you feel like you stepped back in time here. Downtown Walker, which is nestled just off the lake, has a soul of brick buildings and independently owned shops. We have a wonderful paved trail system that lets bikers, skaters and walkers play through the trees and across the lakes.
Along that trail system (the Heartland Trail) is the Kabekona Bay bridge. In the summer you will see kids fishing from this bridge. The bridge spans the channel between Kabekona Bay on Leech Lake. Kabekona Bay gets some of the best sunsets I have ever seen. On a warm summer day, with the fiery sunset lighting up the lake, you can't help but smile at the beauty of this place.
Kabekona Bay Bridge is an 18"x36" acrylic painting on stretched canvas with painted edges and 1.5" thick stretcher bars. It is available at Peculiar Painter in Walker, MN | 218-547-3729
